Cafe Beignet Opens 4th Location!
Our latest location, Café Beignet at the Old Coffee Pot is now open for business! The old building dates back to 1829 and was once a town house before it became a restaurant. The new owners have completely renovated the location and brought back much of the essence and beauty of the building from its former days.
“We wanted to freshen it up and show off its old character; make it look like it did 50 years ago,” says one of the owners, Peter Moss. “We bought this location so that we could be respectful of the history and continue the charm and ambiance that brought people here all those years.”
Commited to preserving the memory of the previous establishment, which was in operation for 125 years, the Old Coffee Pot sign is prominently displayed in the restaurant and some of the murals have been restored.
Along with the delicious beignets, Café Beignet at the Old Coffee Pot has brought back an old New Orleans staple dish, calas. The fried rice fritters are dusted with powdered sugar and served hot. With hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, it makes for a sweet and savory treat (even better with some syrup on top)!
We are located at 714 St. Peter Street in the French Quarter. Breakfast served all day. Open 8am-10pm daily.
