Pete Fountain
Pete Fountain was born in New Orleans in 1930 and became an iconic jazz clarinetist. As one of the most recorded artists in musical history, he shared his talent via the blues, swing, and New Orleans jazz. He performed for 4 presidents and a pope and was on The Ed Sullivan Show, as well as on Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He went on to receive an Emmy, a Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Pete passed away in 2016, but his legacy lives on!
