Chris Owens

Affectionately known as the “Queen of the Vieux Carre”, Chris Owens was a vivacious ambassador of New Orleans, performer, club owner, and entrepreneur. She became famous for her one-woman shows in jazz, blues, and Latin music. Chris also began the annual Easter Parade and passed away right before its 37th anniversary in 2022. Her statue sits in Musical Legends Park with her nightclub just across the street.
